The first project, analytics setup
The first piece of work is getting our product analytics set up so we can see how players use the app, plus a backend cleanup so it is ready for beta. Here is the full job.
1. Set up the tools
- Wire a product analytics tool (PostHog, or another we agree on) into our iOS app and our web app.
- Set up the A/B testing and feature flag system inside it.
2. Track the events
- Tag the actions that matter: signup, device pairing, first workout, workout finished, paywall seen, purchase, and the rest from a list we give you.
3. Build the funnels
- Build the funnels that show how a player moves from signup to first workout, and where they drop off.
4. Backend cleanup
- Clean up our Supabase backend so it is solid for a thousand users. Tidy the database, drop what is unused, add the indexes and guards it needs, and fix anything fragile.
Skills you must have
- Hands on with a product analytics tool (PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel): events, funnels, feature flags, and A/B tests.
- Able to work in both our apps to instrument them: Swift on iOS, Next.js and TypeScript on web.
- Strong with Supabase or Postgres backends: schema cleanup, indexes, and access rules.
- Fluent with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor, with the depth to read and understand an existing codebase.
What you deliver
- The tools wired into both apps, the events tracked, the funnels live, and the backend cleaned up and ready to handle and gather data from roughly 1,000 beta testers.
Budget
$3,000 to $5,000, fixed for the work above.
